Qatar Airways Privilege Club switches to Avios in March

Qatar Airways has announced that it is adopting Avios as the reward currency for all its members from late March 2022. Members of the Privilege Club will enjoy a seamless transition to the loyalty program’s new reward currency, Avios, as their existing Qmiles balances will be converted to Avios on a 1:1 basis as of January 1, 2018.

AerClub, Iberia Plus, Vueling Club, and British Airways Executive Club all use Avios as their loyalty currency. Soon, Avios will be the new currency for Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Avios can be accumulated in a variety of consumer sectors, including aviation, travel, leisure, shopping, and financial services. In addition to American Express, Nectar, Avis Budget Group and Marriott, IAG Loyalty partners with over 200 global brands.
